Talbot Gateway is a prestigious multi-million pound office development, located adjacent to the M4 motorway (junctions 41 & 42) at the entrance to Baglan Energy Park, Port Talbot, South Wales.
This 4,645m2 (50,000sq ft) office building was designed to a high standard and provides flexible accommodation for both customer contact operation or for traditional office use. The building is of steel frame construction founded on contiguous bored piles. External walls are clad with metallic flat composite cladding panels with large areas of curtain walling glazed in high performance suncool solar controlled glass. Among the unique characteristics of the building are an impressive full height glazed atrium reception area and sheltered entrance.
The environmental criteria was to provide a constant and controlled internal temperature, and to achieve a BREEAM ‘good’ rating.
